OPTIMUM
CONDITIONS:
Bacteria and enzymes present in NS Series Super SPO perform within a pH range of 3.5 to 9.5 with the optimum near pH 7.5.
Bacteria remains 100% efficient in temperature
as high as 65 ºC. However, at 80 º C, the efficiency diminishes by about 15%.

 |
Decreases power consumption due to less water change. |
Note:
 |
Dosage application is independent of percent water change. If the schedule of water change and NS
Series Super SPO application coincides, apply product after water change. |
 |
Simultaneous application of organic or inorganic fertilizers and NS Series Super SPO is not advisable since it may cause
over-blooming specially if pond bottom is deteriorated because of high organic matter content.
However, if pond technician is well versed in monitoring water quality,
you may do so. |
 |
In case of
over-blooming, change 5-10% water daily until plankton bloom stabilizes.
Dosage may increase or decrease depending on the quality of. water source. |
 |
For tidal dependent farms, apply NS Series Super SPO when water change is possible. Do not forget to add the dosage of the previous
week. |
STORAGE & HANDLING:

Store in cool dry place. Keep out of direct sunlight. Avoid direct
inhalation. Wash hands with warm after handling.
DOSAGES:
Dosage level varies widely with each application based on the number of days of culture (DOC), stocking density (SO) and actual pond conditions. The following is the
recommended dosage application.

APPLICATION
PROCEDURE:
-
Activate
NS Series Super SPO by soaking one (1) gram of dried cultures in 200 milliliters of pond water
(or one kilogram of NS Series Super SPO in 5 gallons of
pond water). Soak for four (4) hours with occasional stirring before
application.
-
Apply
slurry at highest pond level and along pond perimeter.
-
The
best time for application is from 4:00 p.m. onwards.
-
Continue
running aerators as the usual practice.
REMEDIAL APPLICATION RATES
REMEDIAL
APPLICATION RATES (RAR) for NS SERIES SUPER SPO
on ponds
with stocks from DOC 40 upwards:
The
following recommended dosages for the first application must be applied to ponds
which were not treated with NS Series Super SPO upon stocking and with DOC of 40
days upwards to build up the required biomass needed for effective degradation
of organic wastes and metabolites that have accumulated in the ponds.

Note:
For the
second succeeding applications, the standard Recommended Dosage application may
now be used after the remedial dosage has been applied. In some cases, accumulation of organic wastes in the pond bottom
may already be high. The application of RAR may cause D.O. depletion during the
night. Be sure to provide adequate aeration to avoid depletion at least 3 - 5
days after RAR.
The
second thing to watch out for after RAR is over blooming of planktons. This is
due to the product going to work immediately on the heavy accumulated organic
wastes. This situation can be corrected by minimal daily water change of 5 - 10%
until the plankton growth is stabilized (usually 3 - 5 days after over blooming
Then the regular recommended dosage may now be scheduled. For those depending on
tidal water change, the RAR should be applied 4 - 5 days before high tide to
have ready water supply for _ changing in case of over bloom.
This over blooming condition is critical and should be
corrected at once to avoid plankton collapse.
Upon the release of nitrogenous compounds broken down by
microbial decomposition, floating or rising of dense lab-lab (algae) may occur.
Simply scoop out manually before they settle again and pollute the pond bottom.
Formation of scum is expected upon the use of the product. Be
sure to scoop off scum before they settle to the pond bottom. Monitoring of this
should be done daily.
