MEGA SPO is the latest breakthrough product in the NS Series line of microbial/enzyme formulation for aquaculture. MEGA SPO is based on improved bacterial strain in Super SPO plus the incorporation of denitrifying bacteria
Thiobacillus denitrificans and Paracoccus denitrificans. These bacteria are incorporated to counter the problems of excessive ammonia associated with high density prawn and/or finfish culture. As in any aquatic environment, the holding capacity of water to support life has limited parameters. High organic loading generated by excess feed and excreta causes D.O. depletion, H2S formation and acidity. This creates the opportunity for pathogenic bacteria to proliferate which results in disease outbreaks. High stocking density also causes excessive ammonia, nitrite and nitrate buildup. This eventually accumulates to toxic levels leading to mortality in prawns & massive fish kills.

Actual field trials involving fish kill situations have shown that daily fish mortality completely stops, 2 to 3 days after the application of MEGA SPO. Mortalities caused by 30 and 60 day sydrome in prawn farms have also been averted with the application of MEGA SPO.
Bacteria and enzymes present in NS Series Mega SPO perform within a pH range of 3.5 to 9.5 with the optimum near pH 7.5. Bacteria remains 100% efficient in temperature as high as 65 ºC. However, at 80 º C, the efficiency diminishes by about 15%.
STORAGE & HANDLING:
Store in cool dry place. Keep out of direct sunlight. Avoid direct inhalation. Wash hands with warm after handling.
Dosage level varies widely with each application based on the number of days of culture (DOC), stocking density (SO) and actual pond conditions. The following is the recommended dosage application.
